I turned my rejections to my attention (part 1)

I tried to establish in my previous post about Rejection that it is our part of life because it is an almost every day occurrence. In case you have not read my first post on rejection then it is a big miss for you, I will advise you to help yourself out by clicking HERE to get to read it, you can’t afford to loose it.

If you are back from the journey then let me take you through another mind-blowing and probably the most interesting journey of reading.

When we get rejected we tend to focus so much attention on our immediate hurt and what led to it that we are likely to loose perspective and overgeneralize the incident. This causes us to convince ourselves that our fears and worries are already coming to pass. But if we check it very well, one rejection might have no connection with another. The fact that things didn't work out between you and someone doesn't mean that you won’t click with another, because everyone is different. This also goes to employer/employee, friends, and any other rejection scenario.

So having dealt with the effects of rejection on the other post, we are going to see how we can maximize every single rejection we face daily, in this post, and I pray and hope that at the end of the adventure here you will see with me that rejection means a lot more positively than it means negatively.

Personally I see rejection as being given an opportunity to be better than I used to be. In the other post, I made mention of myself going to a choral group for auditioning and I was rejected because I was not good in classical music. Since then I have not rested in improving my musical prowess especially in classical.

As far as you are ready to keep a positive mind-set in all situation and also to work hard, then you will soon start seeing reasons why one should even rejoice when there is a ‘NO’ answer. So if you are ready let us look very briefly to things you need to do to maximize your Rejections in order to get positive results in nearby future.

  • YOUR PERSONALITY IS YOUR SELLING POINT, USE IT WELL

It will be good to talk about our personalities first before every other thing. It is vital if I let us know that our personalities matter a lot and will always speak for us, it can speak good or bad about you depending on how you maintain it. Your personality is your qualities that make you different from every other person. It can be emotional or attractive qualities such as your skills or the way you behave, the way you dress and carry yourself. These little things always have something to say about one in future. In a nut shell, your personality is the quality that defines you.

Your natural talents and skills will lie dormant until you nurture them. When developed, these skills make you a brand; that is personality. Your encounters with people at each point in time always leave them with something to say about you, so try and make every opportunity to prove yourself matter most.

You don’t have a second chance to make your first impressioncharlesfiness

If you have a good personality, then people will sell you without you stressing yourself much. If you Build a good character for yourself, you will become a reference point.
  • GIVE PEOPLE REASONS TO DEPEND ON YOU

Have you ever proved anyone wrong before, how did you feel making people’s mouth open in surprise to what you could do? That was exactly what JESUS CHRIST did to a Samaritan woman according to John 4: 10-15. Look at verse 14-15 again and you will see that Jesus made her desire at all cost what he has to offer her.

Be a problem solver. The society is looking for people that will give to it and not the ones that will take from. Always create good impression of yourself and have something that will make people to come looking for you from time to time.

you really have no limitation

At the tail end of my secondary school, my classmates agreed without objection for me to keep the money we were all contributing for our graduation celebration. The most shocking aspect of it is that when the money was stolen, no body accused me of being the thief. They supported me fully until everything was sorted out. There were so many other situations where people really showed me that they can trust me with valueable things, confidential informations about their private life and that they depend on me for genuine counsel; when they needed a friend to pour their hearts to, other private issues etc. all because of the trust I built for myself.

It’s not just in having good character, but look out for a problem you can solve for people. When you do that, trust me people will be on the look-out for you. In an area where there is no water, a mobile water retailer is more important to the people of that area than their local ruler.

If you can get the society to depend on you, nobody can reject you… charlesfiness
